Gaza Ridge Health Centre

Located on Gaza Ridge South at Bandiana near Wodonga.  The Albury Wodonga Military Area consists of 3 barracks and is home to the Army’s Logistic Training Centre, Joint Logistics Unit Victoria and Schooling in various areas.  This is a large base providing services to over 5,000 Defence Force members.  The health centre provides primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care.  Nurse led 20-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7 with GP on-call.  The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday to Friday. Weekday & weekend on-call shifts equally shared.

What you’ll do

• Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members
• Occupational Medicine environment, conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, in addition to injury management, chronic disease management and preventative health
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount

What you bring

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration (or 6 months from)
• Minimum 2 years’ GP experience in the last 5 years in a GP Setting (GPT counts)
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
