About the Role 

You will be responsible for the provision of dental services to patients, including but not limited to emergency treatments, general examinations and preventative treatments, restorations, minor oral surgical procedures, x-rays, extractions, root canal treatments and design/management of prosthodontics. In this role you will liaise with the senior dental officer (depending on clinic size), medical officers, nursing officers, and specialist dental providers where needed to provide comprehensive dental care. You will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining the good oral health of personnel in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures, ensuring patients are dentally fit for deployment.  

 

This is a Permanent Part Time opportunity working 2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Please Note: There is also opportunity to work across our Oakey Health Centre simultaneously as a Full Time role.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Australian Citizenship for Commonwealth Security Clearance purposes
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).  
  • Minimum 2 years full-time post graduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).  

About Cabarlah Health Centre

Cabarlah Clinic is located within Borneo Barracks, 14km north of Toowoomba. The barracks is home to the tri-service Defence Force School of Signals’ Electronic Warfare Wing and has approximately 250 members. The Clinic provides primary medical, dental, nursing, mental health and physiotherapy services to the base. Clinic staff may be required to work across Cabarlah & Oakey.  Standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements).
