In this role, you’ll lead maintenance operations within our Defence Marine Support Services team at HMAS Cerberus, ensuring vessels and assets are safe, compliant and ready for service. You’ll work closely with operational teams, contractors and Defence stakeholders to deliver high-quality marine engineering outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise supports both planned and responsive maintenance activities. You’ll play a key part in keeping critical marine operations running smoothly and safely.
As a Maintenance Lead in the DMSS team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Managing planned and corrective maintenance across port assets
- Coordinating maintenance schedules, dockings and servicing activities
- Leading maintenance teams and allocating resources effectively
- Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and statutory standards
- Overseeing emergency repairs and resolving urgent defects
- Supporting marine operations including vessel handling and logistics

- Knowledge of maintenance systems and asset management practices
- Ability to balance safety, compliance and operational priorities
- AMSA certification - Master <45 NC and MED II NC
- Current First Aid and ability to obtain MSIC
