About the Cerberus Health Centre
Located on HMAS Cerberus at Westernport, adjacent to Crib Point on the Mornington Peninsula, south east of Melbourne. It is the primary training establishment for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) personnel. This facility provides general medical, physiotherapy, pharmacy, dental, and mental health services, and operates a 30-bed low dependency ward. Whilst the health centre is open 24/7, standard hours of operation are 0730-1530 Monday-Friday. The Health Centre is also responsible for the provision of after-hours services to ADF personnel on the Mornington Peninsula.
What you’ll do
- Work within the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy
- Intake assessment, risk assessment and crisis intervention
- Case formulation and treatment planning
- Programmatic treatment interventions
- Manage patient clinical records, filing of hard copy reports, booking and recall of patients
What you bring
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a general Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) Post Graduate Experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
