About the Cerberus Health Centre
Cerberus Health Centre is located on HMAS Cerberus at Westernport, adjacent to Crib Point on the Mornington Peninsula, southeast of Melbourne. It is the primary training establishment for the Royal Australian Navy personnel.
This facility provides general medical, physiotherapy, pharmacy, dental, and mental health services, and operates a 30-bed low dependency ward. Whilst the health centre is open 24/7, standard working hours of operation is day shift Monday-Friday. The Health Centre is also responsible for the provision of after-hours services to ADF personnel on the Mornington Peninsula.
What you Bring:
- Deliver high quality primary healthcare, including health assessments and vaccinations or monitor and manage patients in a low dependency ward setting
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, physios, mental health clinicians, and dental professionals
- Support Defence members through injury recovery, chronic condition management, and preventative care
What you need:
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum one year RN experience in acute care, primary health care or military setting
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
- Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
- Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient centred care
- Ability to work a 24/7 roster
Please note:
You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role
You don’t need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
