About Edinburgh Health Centre 

Edinburgh Health Centre is located 25km North of Adelaide, at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This super-base accommodates 3500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, as well as being home to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine.  The health centre operates a 16 bed low dependency ward 24/7.  It also provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical and rehabilitation services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

 

What you’ll do 

  • Deliver high quality primary healthcare, including health assessments and vaccinations or monitor and manage patients in a low dependency ward setting 

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, physios, mental health clinicians, and dental professionals 

  • Support Defence members through injury recovery, chronic condition management, and preventative care

What you bring 

  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse 

  • Minimum one year Registered Nurse experience in acute care, primary health care or military setting 

  • Current CPR certification (HLTAID009) 

  • Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance 

  • Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient centred care 

  • Ability to work a 24/7 roster
