About the Enoggera Health Centre 
Enoggera Health Centre is located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, and provides support to Gallipoli, Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks. Established in 1908, this modern military base currently spans 600 hectares with approximately 8000 members. The largest base in South Queensland, it incorporates the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters, a major manoeuvre formation, local support facilities and a range of training facilities.  The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services. This facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Friday.

 

What you’ll do 

  • Keep the clinic running smoothly by providing fast, accurate, and professional clerical and administrative support to health staff and patients.  
  • Manage electronic and hard copy health records and data in accordance with Defence policies, privacy requirements, and compliance standards.  
  • Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with internal and external health service providers to support continuity of care and timely access to patient information.  
  • Prepare reports, update health and personnel management systems, and assist with auditing activities to support operational and compliance requirements.  
  • Support day-to-day clinic operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery and stores, and processing supply requests. 

 

What you bring 

  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role. (Medical setting highly desirable) 
  • Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to complete 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded.
