As a Mental Health Registered Nurse at Enoggera Health Centre, you will work as part of an experienced multidisciplinary healthcare team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel.

In this role, you will support a broad range of mental health presentations through intake and risk assessments, comprehensive assessments, and the delivery of person-centred care in line with professional standards, legislation, and Defence policies and procedures.

You will also contribute to case formulation, treatment planning, and care coordination, while supporting group psychoeducation and ongoing mental health programs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of Defence members.

You could be a great fit if you have:

• Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Credentialing with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN), or a minimum qualification of Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, or a recognised international equivalent such as a UK-trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse
• Minimum 2 years’ full-time (or part-time equivalent) post-RN general registration experience within the last 5 years in a primary health or specialist mental health setting
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification

About Enoggera Health Centre

Enoggera Health Centre is located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane and supports Gallipoli, Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks. Established in 1908, this large and modern military base covers 600 hectares and is home to approximately 8,000 members. As the largest base in South Queensland, it incorporates the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters, major manoeuvre formations, local support facilities, and extensive training areas.

The health centre provides a comprehensive range of services including primary medical, aviation and underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care. The facility operates 24/7, with standard operating hours generally from 07:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday, and weekend shifts depending on role requirements.
