CNSW – Dental Assistant – Holsworthy Health Centre – Casual (Must be available to pick minimum 2 shifts, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 15:00pm)

About Holsworthy Health Centre 

Located 25 kilometres SW of central Sydney. Located on a 20,000-hectare base, it comprises of a 41-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7.  Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy.  The base is also home to the Defence Force Correctional Establishment where detainees are visited by RNs daily.  Standard hours of operation are generally 0730-1530 Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). 

 

What you’ll do 

  • Supporting dental procedures through chair-side assisting 

  • Preparing and maintaining clinical equipment and treatment areas 

  • Promoting oral health and supporting patient care 

  • Maintaining infection control and hygiene standards 

  • Managing patient records and supporting administrative tasks 

 

What you bring 

  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification 

  • 2 years chair-side experience in a dental clinical setting 

  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certification 

  • Strong understanding of infection control and clinical standards 

  • Great communication skills with a caring, team-focused approach
