About the Health Centre
Holsworthy Health Centre is located 25 kilometres south-west of central Sydney. Located on a 20,000-hectare base, it comprises of a 41-bed inpatient ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Holsworthy base is also home to the Defence Force Correctional Establishment where detainees are visited by RNs daily. Standard hours of operation are generally 0730-1530 Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
What you’ll do

Keep the clinic running smoothly by providing fast, accurate, and professional clerical and administrative support to health staff and patients.

Manage electronic and hard copy health records and data in accordance with Defence policies, privacy requirements, and compliance standards.

Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with internal and external health service providers to support continuity of care and timely access to patient information.

Prepare reports, update health and personnel management systems, and assist with auditing activities to support operational and compliance requirements.

Support day-to-day clinic operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery and stores, and processing supply requests.
What you bring

Minimum of 1 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role. (Medical setting highly desirable)

Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to complete

Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded.
