Northern Territory – Pharmacist – Robertson Health Centre – 1 day a week

About the Health Centre 

Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of Darwin.  It is home to the 1st Brigade & 1st Aviation Regiment. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 2800 members, with a large reserve component. The Barracks also accommodates an additional 2500 US marines every 6 months from May to September.  The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy and mental health services.  It also operates a 22-bed low dependency ward 24/7.  Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

 

What you’ll do 

  • Delivering safe and accurate dispensing services in line with clinical standards 

  • Managing medication inventory and supporting efficient pharmacy operations 

  • Promoting safe and effective use of medications for patients and clinicians 

  • Providing technical advice and support to health practitioners 

  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, Defence policies, and quality standards 

 

What you bring 

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a pharmacist 

  • Minimum 2 years’ post-internship experience in hospital, community, or defence pharmacy 

  • Strong understanding of medication safety, dispensing, and inventory management 

  • Current CPR certification (HLTAID009) 

  • Commitment to ongoing CPD and professional standards 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team 

  • Membership of PSA or SHPA (desirable)

  • Australian Citizenship to obtain required security clearance
