We’re seeking Physiotherapists to join our multidisciplinary team at Robertson and Darwin Health Centres, to provide high-quality care to Defence members.

ABOUT ROBERTSON HEALTH CENTRE
Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of Darwin. It is home to the 1st Brigade & 1st Aviation Regiment. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 2800 members, with a large reserve component.
The Barracks also accommodates an additional 2500 US marines every 6 months from May to September. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy and mental health services. It also operates a 22-bed low dependency ward 24/7.
Standard operating hours are generally 0730 – 1530 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
ABOUT DARWIN HEALTH CENTRE
Darwin Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Darwin, 6.5km north-east of the city sharing a runway with Darwin International Airport. Major exercises are held in the Northern Territory every year, with RAAF Base Darwin undertaking a major support role.
The health centre has a routine dependency of approximately 520 members and surges up to an additional 1500 Australian and International Defence members twice a year for the Air Force exercises. The facility provides general nursing, mental health, physiotherapy and pharmaceutical services.
Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1600 Monday – Thursday depending on role requirements, and a half day 730 – 1330 Friday.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a physiotherapist, you will:
- Be involved in varied musculoskeletal conditions, including sports injuries, post operative (e.g. ACL recon, shoulder recon), loading injuries (e.g. bone stress, shoulder pain, knee pain) and pelvic health, concussion (if within scope).
- Support members in progressing towards deployment and ADF training exercises
- Have access to a fully equipped gym to enhance the rehabilitation of members.
- Work with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries with a focus on functional rehabilitation and returning members to their work and exercise goals.
- Work with an active population who are motivated to achieve their best possible functional outcomes.
- Have a dedicated time for administrative tasks each day
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, doctors, psychologists, and rehabilitation consultants.
- Improve your understanding of job roles and requirements of the ADF with the opportunity of working closely with ADF members
WHAT YOU BRING
- At least 2 years’ part-time or full-time equivalent post-graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years.
- A current, unconditional registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
- Recent engagement in Continuing Professional Development activities aligned with AHPRA guidelines
- A current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID009)
- Membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association (preferred)
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance
