About the Kapooka Health Centre
Located just 10 minutes from Wagga Wagga at Blamey Barracks - “Home of the Soldier”, the Kapooka Health Centre facilities are part of the Army Recruit Training Centre (ARTC) and plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare to new recruits.
Spanning across two building, Kapooka offers variety with a 50 bed low dependency ward operating 24/7 and a multidisciplinary clinic delivering primary health care Monday to Friday, offering a broad spectrum of healthcare services, including nursing, medical, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical, and physiotherapy.
What you’ll do
- Keep the clinic running smoothly with fast, accurate clerical support
- Manage health records and data in line with Defence policies whilst maintaining privacy
- Coordinate appointments and liaise with internal/external health service
What you bring
- Minimum of 1 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role.
- Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to complete
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded.
