About the Kapooka Health Centre
Located just 10 minutes from Wagga Wagga at Blamey Barracks - “Home of the Soldier”, the Kapooka Health Centre facilities are part of the Army Recruit Training Centre (ARTC) and plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare to new recruits.
Spanning across two building, Kapooka offers variety with a 50 bed low dependency ward operating 24/7 and a multidisciplinary clinic delivering primary health care Monday to Friday, 0730 to 1530, offering a broad spectrum of healthcare services, including nursing, medical, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical, and physiotherapy.
What you’ll do
- Deliver high quality primary healthcare, including health assessments and vaccinations or monitor and manage patients in a low dependency ward setting
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, physios, mental health clinicians, and dental professionals
- Support Defence members through injury recovery, chronic condition management, and preventative care
What you bring
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum one year RN experience in acute care, primary health care or military setting
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
- Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
- Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient centred care
