About the Larrakeyah Health Centre
Larrakeyah Health Centre is located at the Larrakeyah Barracks in Darwin City. Larrakeyah Defence Precinct is a unique tri-service Defence base directly supporting ADF operations & training. It is the home port of HMAS Coonawarra for Navy Patrol Boats and two Army Landing Craft. The facility has a routine dependency of 1100 personnel which surges every 3 months to conduct pre and post deployment medicals. The health centre provides primary medical, nursing, mental health, dental, physiotherapy and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements).
What you’ll do
- Provide high-level health administration support with minimal supervision
- Deliver timely, accurate, and professional administrative services
- Coordinate patient administration, records, and clinic operations
- Support multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient service delivery
- Ensure compliance with Defence policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
What you bring
- Minimum 2 years’ full-time experience in a primary healthcare or military setting (or equivalent)
- Certificate III in Health Administration (or similar) – completed or currently enrolled
- Medical terminology qualification from an RTO (or approved equivalent)
- Medical terminology requirement may be waived with 5+ years’ relevant experience
