As a Building Supervisor at the Clarence Correctional Centre, you will lead a team responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of a world class correctional facility. You’ll coordinate essential services, including building repairs and electrical services, ensuring the Centre remains at the highest operational standard. You’ll work with a diverse and supportive team that promotes safety, security, and rehabilitation.
As a Building Supervisor in the Facilities Management team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Overseeing general building repairs and maintenance
- Leading by example in safety, operational excellence, and professional conduct
- Supervising maintenance and cleaning staff and managing subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Coordinating with subcontractors for specialised tasks
- Monitoring and maintaining service performance standards
About Clarence Correctional Centre
Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional Centre in Australia.
Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, approx. 6 hours' drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane, our region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes, and some of the best Australian beaches with a variety of multi-cultural cafes, restaurants, and friendly community towns.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction or equivalent industry experience
- Certificate in Frontline Supervision, Occupational H&S, and Workplace Assessment & Training would be highly desired
- Demonstrated experience supervising maintenance or facilities staff
- Strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety practices
- Sound knowledge in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Exceptional communication and team leadership skills
