As a Case Planning Officer, you will manage inmates’ cases, assess risks and needs, and develop plans to reduce re-offending. You will work collaboratively with custodial and probation officers to support successful transitions from custody to community, while promoting rehabilitation outcomes and maintaining a safe, respectful environment.
As a Case Planning Officer in the Case Planning team at Clarence Correctional Centre, you’ll make a positive impact by:
• Demonstrating a commitment to Serco’s values and the rehabilitation process
• Promoting cultural awareness and fostering understanding of diverse ethnic backgrounds, customs, and contemporary issues
• Maintaining high levels of integrity and ethical behaviour
• Supporting rehabilitation and reintegration outcomes through effective case management practices
• Building positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Contributing to a safe, secure, and respectful correctional environment
About Clarence Correctional Centre
Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional centre in Australia.
Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, approximately 6 hours’ drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane, the region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes, and some of Australia’s best beaches, alongside vibrant multicultural cafés, restaurants, and welcoming community towns.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Criminology, Social Work, Social Sciences, or relevant industry experience in a similar role
• Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Case Management) (or willingness to complete within the first 12 months of employment)
• Experience in case management and/or rehabilitation and reintegration practice
• Exposure to the Criminal Justice System or similar human services environment
• Demonstrated computer literacy and report writing capability
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
