As a Case Planning Team Leader, you’ll play a vital role in the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates, overseeing case management practices that promote safety and positive outcomes. Working at the Clarence Correctional Centre, you will lead a dedicated team committed to supporting inmates and ensuring the safety of the community.

You’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of Case Planning Officers
  • Ensuring high-quality case plans, classification, and placement of inmates
  • Managing the timely and effective implementation of case management processes
  • Overseeing the allocation of caseloads and assessments
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of case management systems
  • Ensuring a safe and respectful environment for staff, inmates, and visitors

About Clarence Correctional Centre 

Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional Centre in Australia. Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, approx. 6 hours' drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane, our region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes, and some of the best Australian beaches with a variety of multi-cultural cafes, restaurants, and friendly community towns.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Criminology, Social Work, or Social Sciences
  • Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (or willingness to complete within 12 months)
  • Experience leading teams and managing case planning in a correctional setting
  • Strong understanding of classification, placement, and risk management
  • Ability to build inclusive, collaborative teams and manage performance
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
