We are looking for an Education & Training Officer to join our Inmate Services team. You'll become part of a passionate team committed to the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates at Clarence Correctional Centre in Northern NSW.

You will support education and training outcomes by coordinating and facilitating educational programs while working closely with trainers, stakeholders and inmates to ensure the smooth delivery of education services.

About Clarence Correctional Centre

Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional centre in Australia.

Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, approximately 6 hours' drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane, our region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes and some of Australia's best beaches, together with vibrant multicultural cafés, restaurants and welcoming community towns.

As an Education & Training Officer in the Inmate Services team, you'll make a positive impact by:

• Supporting the assessment of inmate education needs and assisting with the delivery of education programs
• Coordinating education schedules and resources for teachers and trainers
• Maintaining learning management systems, including Moodle and inmate education databases
• Facilitating communication with external education providers, including enrolments and examination processes
• Supporting the operation of inmate libraries, IT resources and creative learning spaces
• Ensuring education records, reporting and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Qualification in Education, Training or Administration (desirable) or willingness to undertake relevant study if required
• Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Case Management), or willingness to complete within the first 12 months of employment
• Experience providing education, training or administrative support within a team environment
• Experience coordinating education or administrative functions, including reporting and statistical data collection
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate electronic and manual record management systems
• Strong organisational, communication and computer skills with a high level of attention to detail
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
