As a Plumber, you will undertake planned and reactive maintenance activities across Clarence Correctional Centre to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of plumbing assets and infrastructure. Working within the Facilities Management team, you will contribute to maintaining a high-performing environment that supports the safety, security and wellbeing of staff, inmates and visitors.
As a Plumber in the Facilities Management team, you'll make a positive impact by:
• Performing planned preventative maintenance and reactive plumbing repairs across the Centre
• Responding to maintenance requests and identified defects within required timeframes
• Assisting with asset inspections, auditing, commissioning and performance monitoring activities
• Supporting minor projects and facility improvement initiatives
• Diagnosing faults, identifying solutions and providing technical advice where required
• Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, safety standards and operational procedures
• Contributing to a strong safety culture and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
About Clarence Correctional Centre
Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional centre in Australia.
Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, approximately 6 hours' drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane, our region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes and some of Australia's best beaches, along with vibrant multicultural cafés, restaurants and welcoming community towns.

You are a qualified plumbing professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance services. You enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, have a strong focus on safety and customer service, and can adapt to changing priorities in a complex operational environment. Your commitment to professionalism, integrity and continuous improvement will enable you to thrive in this role.
To be successful in this role you'll have:
• Certificate III in Plumbing or equivalent trade qualification
• Relevant post-trade experience in maintenance, facilities management or a similar environment
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety practices
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
• Experience using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications (desirable)
• Current Driver Licence and White Card
