About the role
As a Mental Health Registered Nurse at Clarence Correctional Centre, you’ll deliver specialised care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges within a correctional environment. You’ll conduct assessments, develop and implement care plans, and support rehabilitation and overall wellbeing. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help foster a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive healthcare environment that upholds dignity and high-quality care.
What you’ll bring
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 2 years’ post grad clinical experience, in mental health
- Strong assessment and case management skills with experience supporting people with complex mental health needs
- Resilience, empathy, and professionalism in a secure environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to best practice and continuous improvement in mental health nursing
