About the Role
As Store person you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks associated with the management of stores. This includes picking, packing, issuing and dispatching medical, dental and general stores, ordering stores using inventory management systems, replenishing first aid kits under supervision of the Pharmacist, assisting in maintenance of medical and dental equipment, co-ordinating hire of equipment and assisting in stocktake activities. To be successful in this role, you will have:
• The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
• Minimum 2 years full-time experience as a Storeperson (or part-time equivalent).
• Current forklift licence (desirable).
• Experience within a warehouse or stores environment (desirable).
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients.
About Simpson Barracks
Simpson Health Centre is located at Simpson Barracks in Yallambie (approx. 40 mins North-East of Melbourne CBD). Predominately a Forces Command training base supporting Defence Force School of Signals (tri-service technicians & operators, electronic warfare systems), Defence Force School of Music (tri-service musicians) and Army Education Centre. This Army base services approximately 6000 Defence members. The Health Centre is a larger centre, operating a 9 bed inpatient facility 24 hours, 7 days per week. The standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend shifts).
