This is a strategic portfolio leadership role providing subject matter expertise in the areas of Cleaning, Waste, & Laundry to Serco's diverse portfolio of contracts.

As Environmental Services Manager, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across Serco’s environmental services portfolio, including cleaning, laundry and waste, throughout the ASPAC region. Partnering with operational leaders and contract teams, you’ll help drive consistency, quality, compliance and continuous improvement across complex service environments. Supporting a workforce of more than 1,900 employees, you’ll strengthen capability, improve efficiencies and support future growth opportunities. Your leadership will help create safer, cleaner and more sustainable environments for the communities we serve.
As an Environmental Services Manager (Cleaning, Waste, Laundry) in the Operations Hub team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Providing strategic leadership across environmental services operations throughout the ASPAC portfolio
- Driving operational consistency, service excellence and compliance across cleaning, waste and laundry services
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance, quality and efficiency outcomes in partnership with operational teams
- Implementing standardised procedures, systems and service delivery frameworks across contracts where they add value
- Supporting mobilisation activities, business growth opportunities and tender submissions
- Developing workforce capability through coaching, mentoring and sharing industry best practice

- Significant leadership experience across cleaning services, waste management, laundry services, hygiene standards and compliance requirements
- Experience leading operational improvements and standardisation initiatives across multiple sites or contracts
- Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and driving outcomes within complex matrix environments
- Proven experience of bidding and mobilisation of new contracts, ideally to government clients
- Strong understanding of systems and Government frameworks supporting environmental services, health and safety and quality management
- Relevant qualifications in Environmental Management, Facilities Management, Operations Management, Health and Safety, Engineering or a related discipline
