As a Medical receptionist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of quality healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel by ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of health centre administration.

About ADF Health Services

In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare to ADF personnel across Australia. This includes delivering defence-ready clinical and support staff across more than 45 on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to high-quality on-site medical care.

Oakey Health Centre, located at the Army Aviation Centre (AAC) just 3 km outside Oakey, supports approximately 500 Defence personnel, all from an adult population. The standard operating hours are 07:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements, with specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

As a Medical receptionist, you will be responsible for maintaining health records, supporting clinicians, and ensuring administrative processes run smoothly in accordance with Defence policies and procedures.

You could be a great fit if you have:

• At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or clerical role (healthcare setting desirable)
• Strong communication and organisational skills with high attention to detail
• Proficiency in IT systems and data entry accuracy
• Knowledge of medical terminology (certificate or equivalent experience)
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Baseline Security Clearance - AUS Citizen
