As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical care to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel, ensuring their health and wellbeing are supported in line with professional standards, Defence policies, and legislation. You may also participate in Field Training roles, providing essential health support within military settings and facilities.

About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare to ADF personnel across Australia. This includes delivering defence-ready clinical and support staff across more than 45 on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to high-quality on-site medical care.
Oakey Health Centre, located at the Army Aviation Centre (AAC) just 3 km outside Oakey, supports approximately 500 Defence personnel, all from an adult population. The standard operating hours are 07:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements, with specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering nursing care, maintaining clinical records, managing patient care plans, and coordinating patient management in accordance with Defence guidelines. You will also participate in clinical governance, quality improvement activities, and support Defence health training and operational activities.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Current, unconditional, and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- At least 12 months full-time post-graduate nursing experience within the last 5 years in an acute care, primary healthcare, or military setting (or part-time equivalent).
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
