Registered Nurse – Cairns (Part-Time)

Join Serco’s Australian Defence Force (ADF) Health Services team in Cairns and provide care to a unique patient group – generally young, fit and healthy adults.
The role
- Part-time: Monday & Tuesday, 7:30am–4:00pm
- Outpatient role – no nights, no weekends
- Spend real time with your patients without the rush of a hospital setting
- Provide quality nursing care in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team environment
About Cairns Health Centre
This role is based at HMAS Cairns, located on the northern shore of Trinity Inlet and just minutes from the Cairns CBD. The base supports around 1,000 Navy and civilian personnel and plays a key role in border protection, logistics, and maintenance for fleet-based units across northern Australia.
The health centre provides primary medical, dental, nursing, mental health, and underwater medicine services. Standard operating hours are Monday to Thursday, 7:00am–4:30pm, and half-days on Fridays – giving you balance and consistency in your work week.

What we’re looking for
- Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 12 months’ post-grad experience in acute, primary health, or military nursing
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
- Australian Citizenship (to obtain Baseline Security Clearance)
