About Puckapunyal Health Centre

Puckapunyal Military Area is located approximately 13kms west of Seymour.  First utilised as a mobilisation and training area during WWI, it was formally established in the early 1940s.  Today, it is home to the Headquarters of the Combined Arms Training Centre, the Army Knowledge Centre, and the Schools of Artillery and Transport.  The health centre services up to 4,000 Defence members and provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental, pharmaceutical and mental health care.  There is a 12-bed low dependency ward operating 24/7.  The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday to Friday Weekday & weekend on-call shifts equally shared.


What you’ll do

  • Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members
  • Occupational Medicine environment, conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, in addition to injury management, chronic disease management and preventative health

Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount


What you bring

  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
  • FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration
  • Minimum two years’ GP experience in the last five years in a GP Setting
  • Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
  • Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
  • Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
