Make an impact at Serco

As a Caseworker with our Return and Reintegration Assistance Program (RRAP), you’ll provide person-centred case management and support to eligible non-citizens who need assistance to voluntarily leave Australia or a Regional Processing Country. You’ll work closely with clients, colleagues, government agencies, service providers and community organisations to help people navigate the return process with dignity. You’ll support clients with diverse and sometimes complex needs while helping deliver safe, high-quality and timely outcomes. This is a hugely impactful role, and an opportunity to truly help out people in need.

As a Caseworker in the RRAP team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Managing a caseload and providing tailored, trauma-informed support
  • Supporting vulnerable clients through risk assessment, case planning and interventions
  • Providing accurate, impartial and culturally appropriate information about RRAP and voluntary return
  • Coordinating client activities, approved travel arrangements and departure support
  • Maintaining accurate case records, reports and performance information
  • Building strong relationships with government, community and service provider stakeholders

Serco is a place for you

You could be a great fit if you have:

  • Experience in case management, particularly with vulnerable clients or people with complex needs
  • Strong empathy, cultural competence and emotional intelligence
  • The ability to manage sensitive matters, recognise risks and exercise sound judgement
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and communication skills
  • Experience working collaboratively in complex, regulated or sensitive environments
  • A relevant Diploma or Bachelor qualification, such as Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Behavioural Science, Social Science or Community Services
  • You’ll also need a current unrestricted driver’s licence, First Aid and CPR certification, and Mental Health First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it. You’ll be required to obtain a Working with Children Check, and be willing to travel locally, regionally, domestically and occasionally internationally as required.

In joining us, you’ll be part of a highly supportive culture with trusted leaders who’ll help you achieve your goals. Here, you’ll appreciate a flexible approach to work-life that comes with working at a company with long-term Government-backed contracts.
