In this role as Senior Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you’ll sit at the centre of Serco’s operational heartbeat where strategy meets execution. You’ll partner with an agile and forward-thinking COO and a high-performing Customer Operations team, acting as a trusted right hand who brings order, perspective, and momentum. Your ability to connect insights, anticipate what’s next, and translate priorities into action will help shape decisions that truly move the business forward.
As a Senior Executive Assistant in the Executive Support team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Partnering with the COO to drive operational excellence, and commercial performance across the business.
- Supporting the preparation and delivery of high-quality executive reports, briefings, and board-level materials.
- Coordinating key operational touchpoints that support leadership alignment and business performance.
- Engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders to build trusted relationships and ensure seamless communication flow.
- Driving alignment between strategic priorities and execution through proactive follow-up and delivery tracking.
- Collaborating with the Executive Support Team to deliver leadership events, conferences, and key business initiatives.

- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand strategic business drivers and priorities.
- Proven success managing high-level stakeholder relationships and influencing with confidence and diplomacy.
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills, with experience preparing executive briefings and leadership materials.
- Strong project management capability and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems.
- High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and discretion when managing sensitive or confidential matters.
