Make an impact at Serco
As our Sustainability Lead, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering Serco’s environmental sustainability agenda across Asia Pacific. Reporting to the Head of Strategy and working closely with senior leaders and operational teams, you’ll lead climate reporting, sustainability governance, environmental performance improvement, and strategic sustainability initiatives.
This role offers the opportunity to influence meaningful change, strengthen environmental outcomes, and support our commitment to impacting a better future. You’ll collaborate across a diverse portfolio of services spanning Community Services, Health, Defence, Justice, and Transport.
As a Sustainability Lead in the ASPAC team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Leading climate reporting and disclosure activities across Asia Pacific
- Establishing sustainability governance frameworks, controls and processes
- Analysing environmental performance data to identify risks and opportunities
- Developing sustainability strategies, initiatives and emissions reduction programs
- Supporting business leaders to embed sustainable practices into decision-making
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement, governance forums and continuous improvement activities

- Experience in sustainability, environmental management or ESG-related roles
- Knowledge of climate reporting requirements and greenhouse gas accounting principles
- Experience developing reporting frameworks, governance processes or compliance programs
- Ability to adapt to changing regulations and incorporate new reporting requirements as they emerge.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities
- Qualifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, ESG, Business or a related discipline
This position carries a high level of trust and responsibility. As part of our recruitment process, preferred candidates will undergo a comprehensive probity assessment, including a National Police Check.
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen so that we can obtain the required Baseline Defence Security Clearance for you.
