About the Role  
As a Health Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare team through a range of administrative duties, including:  

  • Managing both electronic and hard copy health records  
  • Maintaining databases and information management systems  
  • Filing, photocopying, and ordering stationery  
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to gather patient information as needed  

Your work will adhere to Defence Policies and Procedures, as well as Medical-in-Confidence and Staff-in-Confidence standards, ensuring the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

About Tindal Health Centre
Tindal Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Tindal, 15km outside Katherine, and 320km south-east of Darwin. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 550 Defence members, surging at regular Air Force exercise periods throughout the year. The health centre provides general medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy and mental health services.  It also operates a 10-bed inpatient low dependency day ward. Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1600 Monday – Thursday depending on role requirements, and a half day 7:30 – 13:30 Friday.

About You
We’re looking for someone with:  

  • At least 12 months of experience in an administrative role (full-time or part-time)  
  • Experience in a clinical support or medical reception role (desirable)  
  • Demonstrated, exceptional customer service skills  
  • The highest level of personal integrity and ethical behaviour  
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A good understanding of the importance of accurate and up-to-date record-keeping in a clinical setting
