About the Role
Working full-time (37.5 hours per week) at Lavarack Health Centre, you’ll be an integral part of our dental team, providing high-quality oral health care and education to ADF personnel in a supportive, well-equipped environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering oral hygiene advice and treatments in line with Defence policies
- Performing periodontal charting, root planing, implant maintenance, and routine procedures
- Taking and interpreting intra- and extra-oral radiographs
- Maintaining infection control and surgical hygiene to the highest standards
- Coordinating patient care, records, referrals, bookings, and recalls
- Contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives

At Lavarack Health Centre, our multi-disciplinary team provides care to around 8,000 ADF members, including primary medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services.

What You’ll Need
- Qualification in Dental Hygiene (or Oral Health Therapy)
- Current unconditional and unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Confidence performing a wide range of procedures independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to infection control and patient-centred care
- Australian Citizenship (essential for Defence security clearance)
