We’re seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team on a casual basis, working Monday to Friday only.

About the role
In this position, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health and readiness of Australian Defence Force personnel by delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services.

You will:

• Dispense medications and manage pharmaceutical inventory
• Provide advice to patients on the safe and effective use of medications
• Deliver pharmaceutical support across medical and dental services
• Offer technical guidance and training to healthcare staff
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

About Lavarack Health Centre
Located at Lavarack Barracks in Townsville, the largest Army base in Australia, the health centre supports approximately 8,000 personnel.

You’ll be working in a comprehensive healthcare facility offering services including medical, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care, alongside a 24/7 inpatient ward.

This is a structured clinical environment with standard hours of 0700–1630 Monday to Friday, giving you consistency and balance.

What you’ll bring

• Current, unrestricted registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA
• Minimum 2 years’ post internship experience within the last 5 years
• Current CPR (HLTAID009) certification
• Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• A high level of professionalism and ethical practice
• Australian Citizenship (required for Baseline Security Clearance)
