Make an Impact at Serco
As the Performance Manager, you'll lead the facility's performance, audit, compliance and operational assurance functions, ensuring contractual obligations and legislative requirements are consistently achieved. Working closely with the Prison Director and Senior Leadership Team, you'll drive continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen operational performance and provide strategic insights that support safe, effective and high-performing correctional services.
About Auckland South Corrections Facility
Located in Wiri, South Auckland, Auckland South Corrections Facility is one of New Zealand's newest and most innovative correctional facilities. Operated by Serco, the facility focuses on safety, rehabilitation and reintegration, creating positive outcomes for the people in our care while helping make communities safer.
As the Performance Manager, you'll make a positive impact by:
• Leading the facility's performance monitoring, audit, compliance and operational assurance programmes
• Developing performance dashboards, reporting frameworks and operational insights to support strategic decision-making
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and service delivery
• Monitoring contractual KPIs, compliance obligations and organisational performance outcomes
• Leading risk management activities and coordinating corrective action plans across the facility
• Building strong partnerships with operational leaders, government agencies and external stakeholders
• Leading and developing a high-performing team focused on accountability, quality and operational excellence

To be successful in this role, you'll have:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Compliance, Quality Assurance, Data Analytics or a related discipline (highly desirable)
• Experience leading performance management, audit, compliance, governance or operational reporting functions
• Proven experience leading, developing and coaching high-performing teams
• Strong understanding of performance management, reporting, audit, assurance and continuous improvement principles
• Experience monitoring KPIs, analysing operational data and preparing reports for senior leaders and external stakeholders
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience working within a highly regulated, government, justice or custodial environment will be highly regarded
