Join the Allied Health Team as a Dentist, delivering high-quality, patient-centred oral healthcare that meets the unique needs of individuals in custody and supports their overall wellness. This is a casual role, Monday to Friday, 2 days per week (flexible days).

 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide general dental care across a range of clinical presentations, including complex cases 

  • Manage referrals, coordinate ongoing care, and oversee high-risk or challenging patients 

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care

  • Communicate effectively with health staff, custodial teams, and external providers 
     

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration

  • Degree in Dentistry (undergraduate: Bachelor of Dental Science/Surgery/Oral Health or postgraduate pathway: Doctor of Dental Medicine) obtained from an accredited Australian educational program or international program approved by Dental Board of Australia 

  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification   

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

  • Cultural awareness and the ability to work with diverse populations

  • Desirable: Experience in high-risk or secure environments requiring adaptive clinical decisions
