Make an impact at Serco
As a Physiotherapist within the Health Services team at Acacia Prison, you’ll support rehabilitation and reintegration by improving mobility, reducing pain, and promoting functional independence. This is a casual role, Monday to Friday, 2 days per week (flexible days).
In this role, you will:

Conduct physiotherapy assessments, treatment planning and functional rehabilitation within a secure environment

Maintain accurate clinical documentation, manage cases, and coordinate appropriate referrals

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care

Communicate effectively with health staff, custodial teams, and external providers

Contribute to team meetings, case reviews, and clinical handovers

Share relevant information to support collaboration and continuity of care
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Current, unrestricted registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
-
Degree in Physiotherapy obtained from an Australian Physiotherapy Council accredited program
-
Broad physiotherapy experience, including complex cases and clinical decision-making
-
Experience managing referrals and coordinating ongoing patient care

Excellent communication and documentation skills
-
Cultural awareness and the ability to work with diverse populations
- Desirable: Experience in high-risk or secure environments (e.g. corrections, detention, secure mental health units)
