As a Registered Nurse - Chronic & Complex at Acacia Prison, you will be responsible for the identification and case management of inmates with chronic diseases requiring ongoing monitoring and support to a prison population of approximately 1,520 prisoners, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team. You will play a key role in the care, rehabilitation and support of patients, ensuring their healthcare needs are met while adhering to the highest professional standards. This is a part-time role based at Acacia Prison in Wooroloo, WA. 

 

You could be a great fit if you have: 

  • Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications in chronic disease or working towards same
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a primary health or acute setting or chronic disease related role 
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to cultural awareness and respecting diversity
