As a Senior Firefighter within our Fire & Rescue Services team, you'll play a vital role in delivering aviation rescue and firefighting and structural rescue and firefighting services. Working in a dynamic operational environment, you'll respond to emergencies, maintain readiness of personnel and equipment, and provide leadership across emergency response activities supporting Defence operations.
As a Senior Firefighter, you'll make a positive impact by:
- Responding to aviation, structural fire and rescue emergencies
- Leading crews during emergency incidents and operational activities
- Maintaining operational readiness of vehicles, equipment and facilities
- Identifying and managing hazardous materials incidents
- Supporting training, mentoring and development of team members
- Ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures

You will be a strong fit for this role if you have:
- Aviation firefighting experience within an operational environment
- Proven leadership capability and experience leading teams
- Relevant firefighting and emergency operations qualifications
- Incident command and emergency response expertise
- A current Heavy Rigid driver's licence
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship and a valid passport
Desirable experience includes:
- Certificate IV in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Military firefighting experience
