Your Opportunity  

We are looking for a Crew Chief / Crew Manager who will be responsible for the management and performance of his crew in the provision of 24/7 aviation focused Rescue & Firefighting Services (RFFS).

 

This role is part of the Fire and Rescue Services and willl be based in the West Coast of Saudi Arabia.  

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assume the role of Sector Commander during major or prolonged incidents.
  • Lead and manage firefighting crew operations during all required emergency and non-emergency scenarios.
  • Oversee the deployment of crew and equipment, ensuring effective task allocation and emergency response.
  • Operate vehicle radios, ensuring accurate and timely coordination with other emergency responders.
  • Maintain communication with the fire control center and/or Air Traffic Control (ATC) to receive clearances and incident instructions.
  • Manage refilling of fire vehicle water and agent/media tanks.
  • Drive various fire service vehicles as required.
  • Facilitate and support mandatory competency-based training and maintain training records.
  • Ensure readiness and operational status of vehicles, crew, and equipment to meet designated airfield category standards.
  • Report equipment defects or operational issues to Station Officer / Watch Manager.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of station cleanliness, safety, and hygiene.
  • Comply with all company and airfield standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including SCBA and chemical suits, as operationally required.
  • Deliver client-focused services such as fire safety awareness programs and standby services.
  • Maintain physical fitness to meet operational requirements and ensure crew readiness.
  • May act in place of the Station Officer / Watch Manager during their absence.

 

Specific Requirements 

  • Qualifications: Certified to an international ARFF standard recognized by regulatory bodies such as GACA (essential), ICAO, FAA, CAA, or GCAA.
  • Certifications: ProBoard or IFSAC-accredited certifications (mandatory).
  • Experience: 5–7 years of fire/rescue experience, including at least 1 year in a Crew Chief or similar supervisory role.
  • Health: Must be certified medically fit for duty.
  • License: Valid light vehicle license (essential); heavy vehicle license (desirable) and eligibility to transfer to a Saudi license.
  • Other: Middle East experience and Microsoft proficiency are desirable.
