Your Opportunity
The Director FRS is responsible for the GBP 36m operations and P&Ls of the portfolio of contracts on the West Coast of KSA within the Transport sector (namely Red Sea International Airport, NESMA, TAMASUK and Al Fanar Camps). Leading organic growth and achieving new business targets of ACV GBP 10m in 2026 is also key.
The aim of the role is to drive operational excellence across existing and new contracts, ensuring operational performance targets are achieved while pursuing and delivering organic growth. The position includes GM line-manager responsibility for each contract; understanding and delivering on our financial commitments and budgets is critical. Leading new business development and bids is also a key element of the role.
The Director is responsible for managing all people-related deliverables (300+ employees), along with the plans, policies and strategies related to operations and business development for FRS in KSA. This includes internal and external client and vendor stakeholder management, and delivering world-class, value-adding reporting to the business.
The role also owns transitions within KSA for FRS as we execute our growth strategy, with a focus on driving innovation and staying ahead of the competition.
The Director must ensure that budgets and forecasts for transitions are met, maintain awareness of any issues that may materially impact financial performance, and report accordingly, while implementing margin-improvement initiatives to support overall business performance.
The position carries responsibility for executing the FRS KSA business plan across the region. The individual will work closely with, and report to, the General Manager - KSA. The role is part of the KSA Senior Leadership Team and the DMT.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for the delivery of operational and financial strategies, operating plans and results across existing and new customers. Provides overarching leadership and implementation of best practices across the contracts for the benefit of Serco and our clients. Also responsible for new business strategy and delivery, including successful transitions.
The position includes working closely with the General Managers, as direct reports, to ensure accountability for the portfolio of contracts and to achieve contractual and internal targets for financial P&L control, service level agreements, KPIs, safety, operations, and service reliability. This includes achieving client service standards across all facets of Transport, including but not limited to Aviation Operations, Mobility, Customer Experience/Hospitality, ANS, and FRS.
Acts as Deputy to the General Manager – Transport when required.
Specific Requirements

Degree holder in a related discipline.

Minimum 15 years of operational experience.

Minimum 7 years in a management capacity.

Proven track record in managing teams, interacting with senior leadership, and delivering accurate and timely data.

Contractual and commercial experience in dealing with clients and suppliers.

Yellow Belt OE accredited.
