Your Opportunity  

We are looking for a Pseudo Pilot who will be responsible for the provision of acting as a pseudo pilot (simulator pilot) and the movement of aircraft and vehicles in the training simulator according to the student instructions during the simulator exercise.

The ideal candidate needs to demonstrable effective communication skills in a multi-cultural environment, be culturally aware of multi-cultural environment, able to liaise in a professional and persuasive manner with staff at all levels in the organisation, have the flexibility, excellent attention to detail, ability to identify key issues and manage an environment of regular change.

This role will be based in Sharjah Airport. 

Key Accountabilities

• Use of standard ICAO radiotelephony and communicates in the role of adjacent air traffic control centres, thereby enabling the simulation and training of various workflows at an ATCO’s work-station to accurately resemble real operations.

• Responsible to the Head of Learning and Development for ensuring provision of the necessary support to the training centre by operating a computer-based ATC Simulator and assist the instructional staff with the delivery of their courses.

• Operate as a computer-based simulator as per the simulator lesson plans.

• Provide assistant and support to the simulator instructor.

• Assist management team with administrative duties and store all records.

• Carry-out administrative works related to training under the supervision of the Chief Instructor and/or Head of Training.

• Support and follow-up with student’s needs in coordination with the Chief Instructor and Head of Training.

Specific Requirements

• Administrative experience.

• Completed ICAO 051 ATC Basic Course training is preferred.

• Competent in radiotelephony is preferred.

• Competent in simulator operating skills is preferred.

• Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of current mainstream application software required for the management of a modern ATC Training Centre, including word processing/desktop publishing, spreadsheet and graphic presentations. 

• Experience in a multi-cultural environment is essential. 

• Previous Middle East experience is essential
