As an Estates Supervisor in our Health team, you’ll lead and support a multidisciplinary estates maintenance team, helping to ensure critical hospital infrastructure remains safe, compliant and fully operational. Your work will directly support patient care by maintaining the environments, systems and equipment healthcare professionals rely on every day.

This is a role with real purpose. You'll oversee planned preventative maintenance and reactive works across hospital facilities, driving high standards of safety, compliance and service delivery. By leading a skilled team and supporting continuous improvement, you'll help create a positive impact on communities while ensuring our work continues to touch lives every day.

What you’ll do as an Estates Supervisor

  • Lead and supervise mechanical, electrical and building fabric maintenance activities across the hospital estate.
  • Manage and develop a team of directly employed colleagues, including performance management, training, welfare and development.
  • Ensure planned preventative maintenance and reactive works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual, statutory and healthcare requirements.
  • Oversee permit-to-work processes, risk management activities and compliance audits.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records within the Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system to support performance reporting and compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, contractors and internal teams to deliver operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Does this sound like you?

  • Completion of a recognised apprenticeship, Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Significant experience in a supervisory role within estates, facilities management or building services maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services and relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and people management skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management systems.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality customer service, innovation and continuous improvement.
