Café Assistant
Location: Basingstoke Aquadrome, Basingstoke, RG22 6PG
Salary: £12.71per hour plus excellent benefits
Schedule 3 - month fixed term contract, Part time 18.5 hours per week, shifts: Monday & Tuesday 1pm - 5.45pm, Wednesday 10am - 2.30pm and Friday 1.30pm - 4pm, overtime available during busy periods.

As a Café Assistant in our Leisure team, you’ll help create a welcoming space where our communities can relax, refuel, and enjoy their time with us. Your work will support positive experiences for visitors and contribute to a friendly environment that brings people together.
You’ll be part of a team that cares about quality, consistency, and making every interaction count. From preparing drinks to keeping the café running smoothly, you’ll help create a space where our customers feel looked after and valued.
What you’ll do as a Café Assistant
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Greet customers warmly and take food and drink orders.
- Prepare and serve beverages including coffee, tea, and simple food items.
- Operate the till and handle payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness across tables, counters, equipment, and service areas.
- Restock ingredients, supplies, and display items.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Support opening and closing routines.
