Salary: circa £60,000 plus car plus bonus (dependent on experience)
Full-time – Including on-call rota

As an Operations Manager in our Citizen Services team, you’ll lead the delivery of the Electronic Monitoring Services (EMS) contract. You’ll make sure we meet contractual and financial commitments, support public safety, and create a workplace where your team feels engaged, valued and motivated.

 

You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Lead and manage Team Leaders to ensure successful service delivery efficiently, safely, and compliantly, in real time.
  • Navigate a complex environment by building strong, responsive and transparent relationships with clients, stakeholders and partners, representing Serco with integrity and accountability.
  • Responding in real time to ensure any service interruptions of critical platforms and systems are handled effectively with little or no impact to service delivery.
  • Drive operational performance in line with key service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Accountable and responsible for innovation and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and increase value.
  • Ensure robust financial management, including forecasting, cost control and delivery against contract budgets.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive culture where people feel empowered to grow, develop, and deliver excellence.

  • Experience of leading large, diverse teams in a complex operational environment.
  • A proven track record of delivering against contractual and financial targets.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build lasting and trusted relationships.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements relevant to operational delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience of driving innovation, managing change and improving service outcomes.
  • A degree-level qualification or extensive relevant experience in operations management.
