As a Casual Receptionist, you'll be the welcoming face of the centre, helping visitors access activities, services and support that have a positive impact on communities every day. From assisting customers and managing bookings to promoting leisure services and maintaining excellent standards of care, your work has purpose and helps create enjoyable experiences that encourage healthier, happier futures.


What you’ll do as a Casual Receptionist

  • Welcome customers and provide excellent service both in person and over the telephone.
  • Operate the computerised front-of-house system, process payments, issue receipts and follow financial procedures.
  • Balance daily income and support banking processes in line with established procedures.
  • Manage facility bookings and respond to general enquiries efficiently and professionally.
  • Promote and sell the products and services offered across the leisure service.
  • Support marketing activities by displaying promotional materials and assisting with promotional initiatives where required.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and carry out any additional duties assigned by the Duty Manager.

 
Does this sound like you?

  • Excellent customer care and communication skills.
  • Confident using computer systems and digital tools.
  • Able to remain calm and effective in busy or challenging situations.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment, ideally within leisure, hospitality or a similar setting.
  • Comfortable engaging with a diverse range of customers, including adults and children.

Vetting and checks

As well as checking eligibility to work in the UK, you will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
