Location: Two Sites within the Trust  
Working Hours: 40 hours per week (mostly Monday to Friday, with some evenings and weekends during events)
Salary: Between £46,000 - £52,000.00 per annum + excellent benefits + company car

Birmingham Community Leisure Trust is the largest contract within the Serco Leisure Team. It is made up of Ladywood, Beeches, Wyndley, Northfield, Stetchford, Erdington, Cocks Moors, Billesley and Fox Hollies Leisure Centres and they have recently acquired Alexander Stadium, which is one of the UK’s leading athletics venues – a world-class facility that played centre stage at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

 

As Deputy Partnership Manager in our Leisure Team, you’ll play a key role in supporting our mission to help people make more of every day. You’ll be second-in-command on the Birmingham Leisure Contract, helping to deliver outstanding leisure facilities across the city, while leading teams and driving continuous improvement.

 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Provide strong, inspirational leadership across multiple sites, ensuring staff are engaged, motivated and delivering excellent service.
  • Oversee financial and operational performance, ensuring delivery against the agreed business plan.
  • Build strong partnerships with Birmingham City Council, BCLT, and other key stakeholders to achieve shared strategic goals.
  • Drive high standards of customer service, safety, and compliance across all sites.
  • Lead on staff training, development, and succession planning to grow capability within the team.
  • Identify growth opportunities and support social outcomes that benefit the local community.

 

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience leading large teams in the leisure or hospitality sector.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to plan effectively and deliver against financial targets.
  • A solid understanding of the leisure sector and how it supports health and wellbeing within communities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships.
  • Analytical, operational and strategic planning skills, combined with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
  • A full UK driving licence, with the flexibility to travel between sites.
