Salary: Paying up to £37000 depending on skills and experience plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Perm/FT/39 hours

As a Sous Chef in our catering team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping deliver high-quality food that makes a real difference to the people we serve.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll help create delicious, well-presented meals while maintaining excellent standards of safety, consistency and care. Your work will help create positive experiences every day — whether that’s supporting wellbeing, building community, or delivering food people can truly enjoy.

What you’ll do as a Sous Chef

You’ll be entrusted to:

• Support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
• Help develop menus, including seasonal and special offerings
• Supervise, guide and support colleagues to deliver consistent quality
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness
• Manage stock control, ordering and waste reduction
• Lead the kitchen during the Head Chef’s absence and oversee service during busy periods

Does this sound like you?

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

• Experience as a Sous Chef, or strong experience as a Senior Chef de Partie
• Confidence leading a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment
• A solid understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
• A creative, practical approach to food and menu development
• Strong communication and organisational skills
