As a Street Cleansing Operative at our Rushmoor contract, you’ll help keep public spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for the communities who rely on them every day. Your work will directly support a cleaner environment and contribute to the pride that people feel in where they live.

You’ll play an important part in creating positive impact across the area — from maintaining high environmental standards to helping us deliver a service people trust. It’s hands‑on, meaningful work where you can see the difference you make.

 

What you’ll do as a Street Cleansing Operative
You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Carry out programmed and responsive cleansing duties on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Operate cleansing machinery and vehicles safely and confidently
  • Follow contract requirements and specifications for all street cleansing tasks
  • Identify key performance indicators and help ensure they’re met
  • Report progress, challenges, and any issues to your line manager
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and actively suggest service improvements
  • Complete daily inspection and reporting for machinery and vehicles
  • Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of vehicles and equipment
  • Deliver great customer service to members of the public
