Location: RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, OX18 3LX

Salary: £33,417.14 per annum inclusive of a 20% shift allowance, plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Full time, permanent. Swing shift Monday to Friday with alternate earlies and lates, including a rostered weekend standby.

As an Airfield Driver in our Airfield Transport Operations team at RAF Brize Norton, you’ll play a vital role in keeping aircraft operations moving safely and efficiently. Your work supports critical Royal Air Force activity, helping ensure people, equipment, and missions are where they need to be — on time and to the highest safety standards.

What you’ll do as an Airfield Driver

You’ll be entrusted to:

• Operate specialist airfield vehicles you are trained and licensed to drive, ensuring contractual and safety standards are met
• Follow safe working practices at all times, reporting any issues or discrepancies through the management chain
• Complete delegated duties in line with contract requirements and operational procedures
• Undertake non-driving duties such as vehicle cleaning and general care of vehicles and work areas
• Complete mandatory Serco, Defence Learning Environment (DLE), and other required training to maintain competency and currency
• Carry out additional tasks as instructed by the Operations Manager, Shift Supervisor, or deputy

Does this sound like you?

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

• A full, clean UK driving licence
• Driving licence categories B, C, and C plus E (Category D is desirable but not essential)
• Colour Perception Level CP2 (Ishihara testing available at most opticians)
• A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and teamwork
• An in-date ADR licence (desirable — or a willingness to undertake training)
