As a Business Assurance Manager in our Citizen Services team, you’ll play a key role in strengthening governance, risk management, and compliance across our contracts. You’ll ensure we meet regulatory and contractual obligations while driving continuous improvement and supporting our teams to deliver excellence.
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Develop and maintain our Business Continuity programme, including regular reviews and testing of plans in line with contractual and management system requirements.
- Deliver and manage the Citizen Services Internal Audit programme, reporting to senior leaders and tracking progress to ensure timely closure of actions.
- Facilitate and support external audits, including ISO9001, ISO27001, PCI-DSS, Customer Service Excellence and Integrated Assurance Reviews.
- Act as the Business Unit lead for Data Protection, ensuring compliance with One Trust and providing local guidance and support.
- Support contracts in maintaining and reviewing Risk Registers, completing risk assessments and identifying improvement opportunities.
Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Experience working within a compliance, governance, or assurance environment.
- A background in internal auditing and business continuity management.
- Knowledge of Data Protection legislation and experience using tools such as One Trust.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Office 365.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational ability, attention to detail and a methodical approach to meeting deadlines.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and use your initiative to work independently.
- Knowledge of ISO27001 is desirable
